Pilates Reformer Teacher Training and Certification

Highway 54 Pilates is excited to share with Wichita the Pilates Sports Center Teacher Training Program. PSC offers not only one of the most profoundly effective exercise systems ever developed but gives special emphasis to the extensive rehabilitative aspects of the work of Joseph H. Pilates. The importance of quality instruction, well rounded, cutting edge training and good credentials cannot be ignored in today’s competitive fitness world.

We would love to meet with you in person to introduce you to our Studio and discuss our Program. Please let us know when we can set up a time to go over all your questions and concerns. Enclosed is plenty of information about us, as well as the Application. We strongly encourage you to apply to hold your spot in the course as we only accept 12 students.

As soon as you make your deposit and application, you are automatically eligible to receive discounts at our studio and will remain in effect after you graduate. The deposit is deducted from your tuition cost of the Full Program (deposit is nonrefundable).

Includes Fundamentals, Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, and Chair Modules. Completion of a Barrels module is required for graduate’s eligibility to apply for the PMA Exam.

Pilates Fundamentals and Philosophy Workshop

This workshop is the basis of all of Pilates Sports Center’s Teacher Training Programs. It includes the Pilates philosophies collected from many teachings and also covers terminology and basic anatomy.

This is the “Nuts and Bolts” of all skilled teaching – Required for the Mat Pilates Program and modules.

The fundamentals are the first step to becoming a Pilates Certified master instructor.

Pilates Reformer Teacher Training Workshop

At Highway 54, Pilates certification training includes a creative training approach that allows you to achieve training skills for any level of your student’s proficiency.

Medical anatomical terminology and verbal and tactile cueing skills are included in the Pilates teacher training.

At completion you will understand indications and contraindications for specific injuries or dysfunctions.

You will learn about the equipment and safety as well as anatomy modules throughout the program.

Pilates Reformer Teacher Training Course is approximately  6 weeks in length.

Cadillac Pilates Teacher Training

Highway 54 Pilates uses an internationally recognized Pilates Certification program that incorporates Classical and Progressive styles.

The Cadillac is an extremely versatile piece of Pilates equipment that is missing from most Pilates studios. The Cadillac repertoire is performed lying down, both prone and supine, seated, kneeling, and standing

The Cadillac training course includes about 3 weeks of training.

Wunda Chair Pilates Teacher Training

The Wunda Chair exercises are performed sitting upright on the padded surface as well as standing atop, behind, or in front of the chair with hands or feet in contact with the pedal. 

Pilates teacher training with the Wunda Chair includes an understanding of indications and contraindications for specific injuries or dysfunctions.

Learn about the Wunda Chair, using it safely as well as anatomy modules throughout the Pilates Wunda Chair program.

The Wunda Chair class is Approximately 2.5 weeks.

Pilates Barrels Teacher Training

For general spinal work in flexion, extension and in rotation, Pilates Barrels are a unique piece of equipment.

A Pilates Barrels Course may be added to any Full Program for eligibility to apply for the PMA Certification Exam® or to add to your repertoire of teaching.

The course includes: the Pilates Spine Corrector, Small Barrel/Baby Arc, Ladder Barrel for a total of (approx.) 12 hours.
